Massage in Batumi for tourists: how to let your body rest on holiday

After a flight, the beach or long walks: which massage to choose on holiday, how to book ahead online or on WhatsApp, and what to bring.

Cosy massage room with fresh towels and a cup of tea

A seaside holiday is not only about beaches and sunsets. It also means long journeys, heat and many kilometres on foot around town. A massage in Batumi for tourists is a simple way to help your body recover after the flight and enjoy every day of your trip to the full.

Here is when a session is especially welcome, which massage to choose on holiday, how to book ahead and what to bring to Serenity studio.

When a massage is especially welcome on holiday

After a flight or a long journey

A few hours in an aeroplane seat, an overnight transfer or a long drive, and your body feels stiff: the neck and back tighten and the legs feel heavy. A good time for a session is the evening of the day you arrive, if you still have energy, or the next day once you have caught up on sleep.

After the beach

Sun, sea and swimming are pleasant, but they are still a load on the body. One important point: if you are sunburnt, it is better to postpone the massage until your skin has recovered. You can pick another day or a massage for an area that wasn't burnt; just let Pavel know in advance.

After long walks

Batumi is a city you want to explore on foot: the seafront, the old town, evening strolls by the sea. After days like that, your legs get the most tired, and a leg and foot massage helps you enjoy walking again the next day.

To simply switch off

On holiday, the hardest thing is sometimes letting go of work thoughts. An hour of quiet, calm music and aromatherapy helps you slip into holiday mode faster.

Massage in Batumi for tourists: which one to choose

All sessions are given by one therapist, Pavel, a certified classic massage specialist. Here is a quick guide to the services.

  • Myofascial and deep tissue — if your body feels "locked up" after a flight or a long drive. Slower, firmer work on muscles and fascia. More on the myofascial and deep tissue massage page.
  • Relaxing anti-stress — if you want to switch your mind off and rest from packing, travel and bustle.
  • Classic massage — a versatile full-body option if you don't know where to start.
  • Leg and foot massage — after long walks.
  • Back, neck and shoulders massage — if your neck and shoulders are stiff; there is a short 30-minute option.
  • Head and face massage — a calm session to release tension in the face and head.

If you are still unsure, read our article Which massage to choose or message Pavel and choose together.

30, 60 or 90 minutes

On holiday there is usually no need to rush, so 90 minutes (135 GEL) is a good way to truly relax. If your day is packed, 60 minutes (100 GEL) is enough. A back and neck massage can be done in 30 minutes (60 GEL), which fits nicely between the beach and dinner.

How to book ahead

So you don't spend your holiday hunting for a free slot, it is convenient to book in advance, even before your trip.

  1. Online on the website. Choose the service, length and an available time in the booking form.
  2. On WhatsApp. Handy if you are already travelling or want to ask a question first.
  3. By phone at +995 598 56 02 42.

Bookings are accepted at least 2 hours before the session. But if a specific day and time matter to you, it is better to plan your visit earlier.

Opening hours and address

The studio is at Griboedov St 28, Batumi.

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday — 10:00 to 21:00.
  • Wednesday and Sunday — closed.

Keep this in mind when planning: if you would like to come on the day you arrive and it falls on a Wednesday or Sunday, choose the day before or after.

What to bring

Nothing special. The studio has disposable slippers, towels, a shower, tea and water, so you can come straight from a walk and freshen up. A few simple tips:

  • arrive 5–10 minutes early to catch your breath after the journey;
  • try not to eat a heavy meal for 1–1.5 hours before the session;
  • if you are sunburnt, have recently been ill, have an injury or are pregnant, tell Pavel in advance: he will choose a gentle technique or suggest postponing the session.

A gift for friends heading to Batumi

If your friends or family are planning a trip to Batumi, a gift certificate can be a lovely surprise. It can be for an amount or a number of sessions, printed or sent as a link, and it is valid for 12 months, so it can be used on a later trip too.

Let your holiday be a rest not only for your mind but for your body as well. We will be glad to see you at Griboedov St 28: come and breathe out between the sea and your walks.
