Anti-stress massage in Batumi: what it is and who it suits

A gentle, slow-paced massage with quiet music and aromatherapy: how an anti-stress session feels, who it suits, and 60 or 90 minutes.

Quiet massage room with aroma oils and soft towels

There are times when tiredness lives less in your muscles than in your head: thoughts go round in circles, sleep is shallow, and you can't seem to rest even at weekends. An anti-stress massage in Batumi is made for moments like these. Its main purpose is to help you slow down, relax and feel calm.

Here is what this massage is, who it suits, how it feels and how long to book.

What is an anti-stress massage

It is a gentle full-body massage with a slow, steady rhythm. Unlike firmer techniques, the aim is not to work deep into every muscle. Movements are smooth and warm, the pressure is comfortable, and the whole session is built so that your body gradually lets go of tension and your thoughts settle along with it.

Sessions are given by Pavel, a certified classic massage specialist. On his travels he studies different relaxation methods, and his work includes elements of Eastern and Hawaiian techniques.

How it differs from other types

  • From classic massage — it is slower and softer. Classic massage relaxes too, but involves more active work on the muscles.
  • From deep tissue — it does not work on the deeper layers or dense, tight areas. The goal is not to knead tension out but to calm.

If firmer work after training or a long journey sounds more like what you need, read about deep tissue and myofascial massage.

Who an anti-stress massage suits

People choose this session when, above all, they want to rest. It may suit you if you:

  • are worn out by bustle, deadlines and a packed schedule;
  • find it hard to switch off after work and take it home with you;
  • don't rest well and just want some quiet;
  • have arrived on holiday and want to leave work mode behind faster;
  • are trying massage for the first time and are wary of strong pressure;
  • simply want to treat yourself, no special reason needed.

How the session feels

At the start

Pavel will ask how you feel and what you would like: what pressure is pleasant, whether there are areas to avoid, or where you would like a little more attention. It takes a couple of minutes but makes the session truly yours.

During

Warm, smooth, repetitive movements. Many people notice their breathing becoming deeper and more even, and by the middle of the session their thoughts quieten on their own. Some fall asleep, which is perfectly normal. If at any point you want it softer or firmer, or you feel chilly, just say so.

Afterwards

You are usually left with a sense of lightness and a calm, slightly drowsy feeling. Don't rush to get up: sit for a while and have some tea or water. The studio has a shower and towels, so you can get ready at your own pace. It is best not to plan anything demanding that day, so the feeling of rest lasts longer.

Aromatherapy and music

The atmosphere is as much a part of the session as the massage itself. Calm music plays quietly in the cosy room, and aromatherapy is used. Sounds and scents help your body understand more quickly that it is safe to relax and there is no hurry.

If you don't like a particular scent or are allergic to essential oils, be sure to mention it in advance. Pavel will adjust things so that you are comfortable.

Anti-stress massage in Batumi: 60 or 90 minutes

At Serenity, the relaxing anti-stress massage is available for 60 or 90 minutes.

  • 60 minutes — 100 GEL. A good option for a first visit or for setting aside an hour of rest on a busy day.
  • 90 minutes — 135 GEL. More time for the slow rhythm and deep relaxation. Ideal when you want to switch off completely and stop watching the clock.

If you would like to come regularly, a package is better value: 5 sessions with 10% off, 10 sessions with 20% off. An anti-stress massage also makes a wonderful present: a gift certificate can be for an amount or a number of sessions and is valid for 12 months.

Before you book

Anti-stress massage is gentle, but there are still times when it is better to reschedule: a fever or feeling unwell, a fresh injury, or skin problems in the massage area. If you are pregnant or have a chronic condition, check with your doctor and let Pavel know: he will choose a gentle technique or suggest postponing.

You can book online on the website, by phone at +995 598 56 02 42 or on WhatsApp, at least 2 hours in advance. The studio is open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 to 21:00.

Sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself is simply to stop for an hour. Come to Griboedov St 28: it is quiet and warm here, and there is nowhere you need to rush.
